Baqiyatallah University of Medical Sciences popularly referred to as BMSU, is a public medical university located in Tehran, the capital city of Iran.
The university was founded in 1994, and offers wide range medical degrees, fellowships and training across different disciplines through its schools of medicine, nursing, dentistry, and public health. BMSU offers undergraduate, graduate and PhD programmes to its students.
BMSU was established as the main medical institute of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. There are three hospitals that are operated under the university with the largest Baqiyatallah Hospital located in Vanak, Tehran.
Baqiyatallah Medical Sciences University has several research centres like the Neuroscience Research Center, Human Genetics Research Center, Molecular Biology Research Center, Marine medicine research center, Nano-Biotechnology Research Center, New Hearing Technologies and Auditory Research Center.
BMSU also provides grants, resources and technical support to young scientists to further promote medical research and innovation.
