Basic information and contact details for Catholic University of Ávila

institution

The Catholic University of Ávila is officially known as The Santa Teresa de Jesús de Ávila Catholic University. It was established in 1996 under the Bishopric of the Diocese of Ávila.

The university is located in Ávila, a city in the southern part of Castilla-Leon, a region in northern Spain. It has become a UNESCO World Heritage Site, mainly due to the fact that it is one of the few medieval cities in the world that is fully enclosed by an almost intact city wall.

There are three faculties at the university: the faculty of sciences and arts, the faculty of social and legal sciences, and the faculty of health sciences. Within these faculties are 14 official degree programmes, 16 official master’s degrees and more than 200 own degrees.

Although the Catholic University of Ávila offers face-to-face teaching, it has more than 10 years of experience in distance learning. This enables students to access knowledge from anywhere in the world and at any time through any device.

The university is affiliated with two centres: the Fray Luis de León School and the Mompía Clinic.

The university has developed partnerships with more than 60 other higher education institutions across America, Asia and Europe. These partnerships facilitate a variety of academic and scientific exchanges.

The university has also established agreements with over 1000 companies including Accenture, Deloitte, Santander, Michelin and Bosch.
