City University Ajman is an institution of higher education, licensed by the Ministry of Education – Higher Education Affairs in the United Arab Emirates. City University Ajman provides a holistic learning environment that fosters research, innovation, and personal growth. It provides students with the knowledge, opportunity, and support needed to enable them to achieve their individual aspirations, make a positive contribution to society, and become leaders in their respective fields.
All of City University Ajman’s academic programs are accredited by the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA). The University offers 14 academic programs in the disciplines of Dental Surgery, Business, Law, Media, and Education at the undergraduate and graduate levels. City University’s academic programs are offered in English and Arabic. One of the University’s major strengths lies in a strong team of highly qualified, diverse, and dedicated faculty and staff. The University offers top-quality education and ensures all academic programs and portfolios remain contemporary, interfaced with the industry, and meets international standards.
City University Ajman is also one of the few institutions in the GCC that has a membership with the International Student Exchange Program (ISEP) – an organization based in Washington DC, which provides students with an opportunity to study abroad at more than 300 universities around the world under its student exchange program. Also, City University Ajman is a member of AACSB International (AACSB), which connects educators, students, and businesses to achieve a common goal: improve the quality of business education around the world. City University Ajman holds a diverse student and faculty body, with over 50 nationalities represented on campus. The University aims to prepare students for the global market by providing an international, holistic learning experience and environment.
The QS Rating System has certified City University Ajman as a 4 out of 5 Star institution. These ratings exhibit the University’s continued commitment to excellence in teaching, research, student services and contributions to the community. The QS Intelligence Unit arrived at this Four Stars institution rating through rigorous and independent data collection and analysis of performance metrics as set out in the QS Stars™ methodology. The evaluation was in eight categories for CUAjman: teaching, employability, internationalization, development, facilities, program length, social responsibility, and inclusiveness. In addition, the process included several indicators in each category, chosen based on global standards and best practices.
On the 10th anniversary of City University College of Ajman, the institution has earned University Status from the ministry of education- higher education affairs. We are known as City University Ajman.
The achievement was earned after a series of detailed and in-depth reviews conducted by the commission of academic accreditation (CAA) at the intuitional level. And in order to prepare for these reviews, members of university management, faculty, and administration were fully engaged through deliberate grassroots efforts, which were systematic and sustainable in institutional governance, strategic planning, quality assurance, academic integrity, research, resource management, and internationalization. And the outcome of these reviews leading to a University status validates all of these efforts.
