College of the North Atlantic is one of the largest post-secondary educational and skills training centres in Atlantic Canada.
It is a community and technical college that offers programmes and courses across a range of areas including accounting, environmental design, chemistry, software development and project management among many others.
The College of the North Atlantic offers nearly 100 full-time programme offerings and more than 300 part-time courses.
It was established in its current form in 1997 however, many of constituent sites and campuses date back to the early 1960s.
The college has 17 campus locations throughout the province of Newfoundland and Labrador in Canada, various partner universities in China and it operates a technical education college in Qatar in the Middle East.
The headquarters for College of the North Atlantic are located in Stephenville, on the west coast of the island portion of Newfoundland and Labrador.
There are three day care centres at College of the North Atlantic, located at the Corner Brook, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, and Prince Philip Drive campuses. These facilities are licensed child care centres which also serve as model training facilities for students studying early childhood education (ECE).
The college has some of the lowest tuition fees of any post-secondary institution in Atlantic Canada, at approximately $726 per semester for most programmes.
