Ecole Nationale Superieure d’Hydraulique (ENSH) is a public higher education institution that was established in 1972 as an Institute of Hydrotechnics. In 2008, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research transformed it into a non-university school.
The school is located in Blida, a city in northern Algeria.
Academically, the school is comprised of four faculties: the Faculty of Hydraulic Engineering, Faculty of Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Hydroelectric Engineering, and the Faculty of Irrigation Engineering. Within each faculty are different departments offering a range of degree programmes at bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral level.
There is also the Faculty of Research and Innovation which is committed to advancing the frontiers of hydraulic engineering knowledge. This faculty serves as a platform for interdisciplinary research and innovation. Throughout the academic year, faculty members and students collaborate on projects that address emerging challenges and contribute to the socioeconomic development of the region. Some of these cutting-edge solutions climate change adaptation, water scarcity, and smart water management technologies.
