Basic information and contact details for First Technical University
Formed as Technical University, Ibadan in 2017, First Technical University took its current name in 2018.
It is a public institution run by the state of Oyo.
First Technical University is based on a 200 hectare site in Ibadan’s Free Trade Zone. There is a focus on STEM disciplines through the faculties of engineering, natural and applied science and environmental science.
Students are expected to graduate with three credentials - a BSc and diplomas in entrepreneurship and communications. Each is required to produce a final year project proposing solutions to a societal problem.
