Gautam Buddha University is located in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. It was established in 2008.
Unusually it began with postgraduate provision, with an MBA as its first course offer in 2008.
It has now expanded and offers a range of both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in humanities and social sciences, information and computer technology, management, biotechnology, engineering, vocational and applied education, law, justice and government, Buddhism and civilisation, forensic science, artificial intelligence and robotics, and environmental science.
Research centres include the Centre for Excellence in Drone Technology.
There are 18 hostels with space for 5,000 students on campus while facilities include the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Meditation Centre.
It occupies a 511-hectare campus which has been used on a number of occasions as a film location.
