The Global College of Engineering and Technology (GCET) is a private higher education institution located in Muscat, the coastal capital of Oman. The college, founded in 2014, focuses on engineering and technology.

Since 2017, it has been affiliated with the UK’s University of the West of England (UWE) in Bristol on a franchise basis, and the awards of its academic programmes are issued by UWE. It intends to create more courses in collaboration with the UK university.

GCET offers a diverse range of specialties, including undergraduate and master’s courses in: robotics; artificial intelligence; urban planning; cybersecurity and forensics; energy; mechanical engineering; mechatronics; electronics and telecommunications; automation; control engineering; building services; business computing; data science; engineering management; and environmental management. The college offers some scholarships and discounts for international students.

It has an Innovation and Incubation Centre to help establish an entrepreneurial culture on campus and to assist students in converting their ideas into start-ups. The centre provides training and mentoring services, technology transfer services, and connects industry experts with start-ups. Also supporting GCET’s innovation ecosystem is the student-led Scientific Leadership and Innovation Club, which promotes research and entrepreneurship.

The college works with major employers in the region. Eligible undergraduates may be invited to join the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation’s Eidaad scheme, which provides a year-long industry placement in the penultimate year of study.

About us The King’s Health Partners Clinical Trials Office (KHP-CTO) is a collaboration between King’s College London, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. The Department of Arts and Design of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities invites applications for the position of Full/Associate/Assistant Professor in Architecture and Urban Design Practice.  According to the current plan, a Faculty of Design will be established at the new campus, offering undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in Architecture and Urban Design. Qualifications 1. Doctoral degree (or equivalent terminal degree) in Architecture and Urban Design or related areas; 2. A track record in design practice, teaching and research in one or more of the following areas: a. architecture and urban design practice; b. advanced architecture and urban design technology; 3. Extensive experience as a practitioner and educator for senior positions; 4. An excellent record of architecture and urban design projects and design awards is preferred; 5. Proficiency in industry-standard software and emerging tools; 6. Comprehensive experience in teaching and supervising both postgraduate and undergraduate students is an advantage; 7.
