Hamadan University of Medical Sciences (UMSHA) is based in the West of Iran. 

The university's publishing imprint produces 16 journals, seven in Farsi and nine in English.

It offers 70 undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. 

Courses are offered in medicine, nursing and midwifery, paramedic science, public health, dentistry, pharmacy, rehabilitation and advanced medical techniques.

The four research institutes focus on Cancer, Neuroscience and Mental Health, Health Science and Technology, and Clinical Science.
