Basic information and contact details for Islamic University of Madinah
The Islamic University of Madinah was created by the government of Saudi Arabia in 1961 by a royal decree in the city of Medina.
At present, only Muslim males can attend this university.
Students can study Sharia, the Qur'an, Usul al-din and Hadith with non-native speakers able to study Arabic language. The university currently offers bachelor of arts, masters and doctorate degrees.
The College of Sharia Islamic Law was the first to start once the university opened. Since then, the university has opened a faculty of engineering, computer and information science and science with plans for a faculty of judiciary studies. There are also plans for online degrees, with the university currently offering an online course in Sharia and a programme in Arabic language too.
