Admission requirements
All students who did not obtain their previous degree at an institution of the Flemish Community must submit an application via the Admissions Office. Every programme at KU Leuven has its own admission criteria. Be sure to check the specific admission requirements (diploma requirements, language requirements and possible additional requirements) for your desired programme on our webpage.
Application windows
Our admissions process works on a rolling basis, which means that you may apply at any time. However, the sooner you apply the better. Some programmes have a fixed deadline. Late submission of applications for programmes with fixed deadlines will not be considered. You can find the complete list of programme-specific deadlines on our website.

Tuition fees
It is worth noting that our tuition fees are more affordable than many other leading universities thanks to generous government financing of higher education in Belgium. Every KU Leuven student receives the benefit of these affordable tuition fees, no matter where they are from. Whilst all of our programmes are very affordable compared to equivalent universities around the world, the fees for any individual student are contingent upon their academic programme and the nationality of the student.
Scholarships
Even with affordable tuition fees, many students need extra financial support to pursue their academic goals. To help fill this gap, KU Leuven offers a variety of scholarships for qualifying students. Just as with our tuition fees, these scholarships may be contingent on a student’s academic programme or nationality, so be sure to thoroughly check eligibility requirements before applying.
