Basic information and contact details for Machakos University
Machakos University is located on the borders of the Nairobi metropolitan area.
It started as a Technical Rural Training School in 1957, became a University College as part of Kenyatta University in 2011 and attained full independent university status in 2016.
It has schools of engineering and technology, education, humanities and social sciences, hospitality and tourism management, and business and economics, agriculture and forestry management, and pure and applied science.
It has a partnership with Tianjin Vocational College and is one of Kenya’s main centres for the delivery of Chinese vocational training content, with the partnership enhanced recently by a fresh agreement to offer artificial intelligence training.
