Ref.: 533899 Work type: Full-time Department: Department of Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine (20600) Categories: Professoriate Staff Applications are invited for appointment as Non-Tenure Track Clinical Assistant Professor in Internal Medicine in the Department of Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 533899), to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability. Applicants should possess a medical qualification registrable with the Medical Council of Hong Kong, and a higher professional qualification of Specialty Fellowship of the relevant Hong Kong College under the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine or equivalent. They should have demonstrated accomplishment in teaching of medical undergraduates, and organization and development of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Those with an established research record, substantial achievements in research publications and a track record of successful grant applications would have an advantage. They should also have extensive experience in managing patients with acute and chronic medical problems in internal medicine. The appointee is expected to supervise junior doctors; deliver clinical service and patient care at the University’s teaching hospitals; participate in the planning and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes; conduct research; and contribute to administrative duties in the Department, Hospitals and Faculty. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. We work with teaching programmes and innovation projects to improve the skills of our students and to strengthen & energise our industry and the wider community. A Professional Officer has a combination of job responsibilities relating to the following: participate in and manage innovation projects, manage digital technology related resources, and mentor & facilitate student learning. The Centre for Digital Enablement (CoDE) drives the initiatives to elevate digital competencies for academic staff and students within SIT. It works with various stakeholders, both internal and external, in upskilling digital literacy across the organization through literacy programmes and digital innovation projects in relation to the Digital Learning Spaces (DLS). For this role, you will spearhead the various cybersecurity enablement programmes in SIT, manage the cybersecurity related resources and initiatives within CoDE, and lead cybersecurity projects within SIT and with industry partners to support teaching and learning objectives. You will also be responsible for developing and delivering digital literacy courses to undergraduate students and academic staff as part of the institutional drive to ensure our graduates are ready for a highly digitally-enabled workforce. Additionally, you’ll be required to mentor and facilitate student learning by participating in and managing student projects. Key Responsibilities Cybersecurity Enablement Programmes Develop and own the Cybersecurity Competency Roadmap, providing guidance for SIT undergraduate students and academic staff in developing their cybersecurity competencies. Lead and oversee a range of cybersecurity enablement programmes to facilitate the growth of information security skills among SIT undergraduate students and academic staff. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in cybersecurity, ensuring the continued relevancy and currency of the enablement programmes and Cybersecurity Competency Roadmap. Cybersecurity Projects Drive the adoption of sound information security practices across all CoDE projects. Collaborate with industry partners, faculty, Professional Officers and other stakeholders to conduct applied research in cybersecurity related technologies. Teaching & Student Mentorship Develop and deliver digital skills literacy related courses or workshops to undergraduate students and staff. This includes development of learning contents and activities, providing consultations on digital skills/technology related queries, and assessment and grading of students’ work. Mentor and facilitate student learning by participating in and managing student projects. Any other matters as directed by Director/Deputy Director of CoDE. Job Requirements A good degree in Computer Science or a related field. Masters, PhD and/or relevant professional certifications would be advantageous. 10+ years of working experience, including at least 5 in cybersecurity related fields. Proven experience in developing and deploying secure enterprise software solutions. Good programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, etc. Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Possess strong supervisory and project management skills. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently, as well as within a team, to ensure that the project can meet the milestones adhering to the stipulated timeline. Enjoy working closely with students in an educational environment. Demonstrate proficiency to keep abreast of development in the field and pursue professional certification programs.

Job Description The successful candidate will: Undertake original research of international excellence. Set up of fuel cell testing plateform Support the appropriate equipment purchasing and ability to deal with international suppliers. Testing PEM fuel cell technologies Prepare papers for publication in leading journals and/or contribute to the dissemination at national/international conferences, workshops and meetings. Communicate to the research projects team the development, progress and results of research activities. Identify areas of improvement within the research structure using integrated management approaches in pursuit of capacity building/strengthening and the preservation of scientific rigor in research studies. Support if required, the development of proposals for research funding. Assist to the supervision of Ph.D. students and guide their research work. Candidate Profile Due to the multidisciplinary character of ACER CoE, the ideal candidate must have as well a multidisciplinary scientific profile: PhD degree in Electrical Science, Energy Processes or another suitable engineering discipline. Sound background in Energy systems and Fuel cell hydrogen applications. Skills in modeling & structural analysis using various existing techniques. Knowledge in advanced thermal and water management systems will be valued. Familiar with risk assessment and safe working procedures in a chemical laboratory. Excellent communication skills (oral and written) in English. Good publication track record in peer-reviewed journals. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary and multicultural team.
