Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University

Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University is a public university located in Niğde, Turkey. Established in 2015, the university was named in honour of Ömer Halisdemir, a sergeant in the Turkish Armed Forces who played a significant role during the attempted coup d'état in Turkey on July 15, 2016.

The university campus is located southwest of Niğde and is made up of six faculties, two institutes, two colleges, and six vocational colleges, offering a diverse range of academic programmes.

Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University has faculties in education, arts and sciences, economics and administrative sciences, engineering, architecture, communication, agricultural sciences and technologies, Islamic sciences, medicine, fine arts, health sciences, dentistry and sport sciences.

There are two main colleges, the Physical Education and Sports College and Niğde Zübeyde Hanım Health Sciences College. The university also has several vocational colleges: Niğde Social Sciences Vocational College, Bor Vocational College, Niğde Zübeyde Hanım Health Services Vocational College, Ulukışla Vocational College, and Bor Halil Zöhre Ataman Vocational College.

The university dormitory offers accommodation for students. Each section has study rooms, a laundry room, an ironing room, and a canteen.
