North East Agricultural University is a public university located in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, China.
It was established in 1948 as the Northeast Agricultural Institute. The university has undergone various name changes and mergers, ultimately adopting its current designation in 1994. It is affiliated with the Heilongjiang Provincial People's Government and Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. The university is a member of Project 211 and the Double First-Class Construction.
It offers a wide range of programmes through its 16 schools and one department across various disciplines beyond agriculture such as engineering, sciences, economics, management, and arts.
The university has a modern campus, with amenities like well-equipped laboratories, research centres, and specialised agricultural facilities. It also has several national and provincial key laboratories focused on agricultural and environmental sciences.
