Oral Roberts is a private university focusing on the liberal arts. Based in the city of Tulsa, Oklahoma, the university is officially multidenominational, not being tied to any particular Christian group. Founded in 1965, the university was first accredited in 1971, and is named after its founder.

Students under the age of 23 are expected to live on campus, and have access to a wide range of different accommodation options. As well as this, the campus plays host to a number of different dining areas, and has a variety of different meal plans available for students. In order to help foster a distinct sense of community, the university maintains a number of different student organisations catering to a range of interests. As well as this, regular services are held at the university’s chapel, and are broadcast throughout campus.

The university arranges its academic programmes into six different colleges. These are the College of Education, College of Business, College of Nursing, College of Science and Engineering, College of Theology and Ministry, and the College of Arts and Cultural Sciences. The university offers nearly 80 different majors across a wide range of subjects.

The city in which Oral Roberts University is located, Tulsa, is one of the largest cities in the state of Oklahoma. Students at Oral Roberts have easy access to the modern trappings of such a city, ensuring that anything not found on campus can be found in Tulsa.

Some famous alumni of Oral Roberts include the pastor Ted Haggard. Also, Simpsons’ character Ned Flanders is also a graduate of the university.

Working closely with the Program Director of Indigenous Public Health and other members of the academic team, the position will have a role in teaching and academic administration of Indigenous public health units of study within the Sydney School of Public Health and Faculty of Medicine and health covering a variety of health and wellbeing topics covered by the curriculum. The University of Southampton is inviting applications for a postdoctoral position in gravitational-wave astronomy. The successful candidate will join Greg Ashton’s STFC-funded programme, Advancing Gravitational-Wave Astronomy Using Artificial Intelligence, to work on computational Bayesian inference methods and their astrophysical applications.  Southampton's School of Mathematical Sciences is home to a large research group in gravitational physics, comprising 9 staff members, over 15 postdoctoral researchers, and approximately 15 PhD students. Research in the group includes black-hole and neutron-star physics, gravitational-wave source modelling and data analysis, gravitational self-force modelling and numerical relativity. The group is involved in the LIGO Scientific Collaboration, the LISA Consortium, the Einstein Telescope collaboration and the Cosmic Explorer consortium.  Candidates should demonstrate a track record of research in gravitational-wave astronomy. The applicant will have, or be about to obtain, a relevant PhD degree in physics or mathematics.  This is a full-time post, available from the 5th of January 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter. The post is funded for two years with the possibility of a 1-year extension. Applications for Research Fellow positions will be considered from candidates who are working towards or nearing completion of a relevant PhD qualification. The title of Research Fellow will be applied upon successful completion of the PhD. About the role The post-holder will lead a large business-critical, high-performing unit managing the financial and related administrative requirements of the University’s portfolio of externally-funded grants and contracts. Job Description FACULTY OF SCIENCE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY With offers of BSc (Hons) in Chemistry, BSc (Hons) in Analytical and Testing Sciences, MSc in Analytical Chemistry, MPhil (by research), and PhD degrees, the Department presently has around 150 undergraduate students, 70 taught postgraduate students and 90 research students and project staff. The Department places a strong emphasis on both quality education and scholarly research/services, and has reached a significant milestone where its educational programmes are not only innovative but also accessible, and its major areas of research strength are well recognised and supported.  It is now inviting applications for the position of: Associate Professor / Assistant Professor (25260426) Responsibilities: The appointee will be expected to conduct independent, high-quality research, foster interdisciplinary collaborations, and demonstrate research achievements of originality and depth. The ideal candidate will have the potential to become a leading international scholar and contribute to impactful research and innovative technological applications. The appointee will also supervise MPhil and PhD students, develop a vigorous research program at the forefront of basic and translational chemical / environmental engineering, and engage in broader scholarly activities such as organising academic conferences, symposia, and seminars. Requirements: Applicants should hold a PhD in Chemical Science or Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering, Biomedical Science or Biomedical Engineering, or a closely related discipline. They must have relevant postdoctoral research experience, an excellent track record of publications in high-impact peer-reviewed international journals (as first and/or senior author), and a strong history of securing external research funding through competitive grants.
