Preah Sihamoniraja Buddhist or PSB University was founded in 2007. The fact that it has its roots in Buddhist philosophy can be seen in the statement from its rector, where he discusses a founding vision of “a world where peace, understanding and compassion are at the heart of society”. The aim is to encourage solidarity, respect and empathy among different communities.
Degree courses range from Sanskrit to human-resource management, and are divided among four faculties: the faculty of philosophy, religion and law; the faculty of educational sciences and literature; the faculty of Pali, Sanskrit and foreign languages; and the faculty of information technology and computer science. PSB University has a wide range of international academic partners.
Campus dormitories include shared spaces for socialising.
Sports facilities include volleyball, badminton and basketball courts (the emphasis is on friendly competition). A student lounge includes games and other forms of entertainment.
