Courses

In addition to traditional lectures, our programmes feature tutorials conducted in small groups. Tutorials provide students with more opportunities for in-depth discussions with their classmates and their professors, helping them improve their ability to effectively resolve legal disputes. Beyond the compulsory courses, students have the flexibility to choose elective courses based on their interests. This comprehensive teaching model not only broadens students' perspectives but also promotes diverse development by familiarizing students with the common law legal system and other jurisdictional frameworks. Our programmes help to cultivate essential professional skills, critical thinking, and personal development, paving the way for successful career paths.

CityUHK law graduates pursue a variety of professions, including becoming solicitors, barristers, and government or in-house lawyers, depending on their interests and talents.

Mooting

CityUHK School of Law encourages students to participate in various international moot court competitions, such as the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, Willem C. Vis (East) International Commercial Arbitration Moot, Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, etc. Participation in these competitions allows students to strengthen their advocacy skills, connect with peers from other jurisdictions, and enhance the reputation of the School of Law.
