FACULTY OPENINGS AT THE SINGAPORE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY The Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) is Singapore’s first University of Applied Learning, offering industry-relevant degree programmes that prepare its graduates to be work- and future-ready professionals. We currently have positions available at all levels, from Lecturer to Full Professor, in the following areas:  Accounting: Financial Accounting  Air Transport Management: Airlines Management, Airport Management  Digital Communications & Integrated Media: Digital Web Analytics, Integrated Media Management, Digital Media Production Hospitality Business: Digital/Interactive Marketing, Data Analytics, Information Technology  Successful candidates will join the Business, Communication and Design (BCD) Cluster (one of five academic clusters in SIT) as members of a team of accomplished experts who are passionate about higher education and deeply involved in industry transformation through applied research programmes.   Faculty in the BCD Cluster undertake funded industry-relevant research, teach courses in Accounting, Aviation Management, Communication Management, and Hospitality Business, as well as supervise industry masters and doctorate students in relevant topics. They are also provided paid leave to undertake consultancy work with industry and/or spend time attached with industry.   We will prioritise collegial and team-spirited candidates with either (a) an earned Ph.D. or equivalent from a reputable university with specialisation in any of the above-mentioned areas and some relevant work experience, or (b) extensive industry experience with demonstrated strong technical expertise in the above-mentioned areas.  Applications will be accepted until the positions are filled. Reporting to the Principal and Vice-Chancellor and working as a key member of the Senior Management Team, the Vice-Principal will lead institutional strategy and policy for enterprise, innovation and civic engagement ensuring the University makes a strong contribution to regional prosperity and economic growth. The Vice-Principal will provide strategic and operational leadership across the regional engagement and innovation portfolio, embedding enterprise and civic impact within School Plans and wider institutional activity. Working closely with internal and external partners, the role will ensure alignment between new ventures, regional initiatives and the University’s Aberdeen 2040 strategy. Key responsibilities include overseeing delivery of the University’s Knowledge Exchange and Innovation Fund (KEIF) strategy; representing the University within the regional, national and international enterprise and innovation ecosystem; and leading engagement with major initiatives such as the Aberdeen City Region Deal and the North East Scotland Investment Zone. As an anchor institution, the University of Aberdeen plays a central role in the economic, social and cultural life of the North East of Scotland. The Vice-Principal (Regional Engagement & Innovation) will be supported by the Dean for Enterprise & Innovation and colleagues across the Directorate of Research and Innovation, Public Affairs and Stakeholder Engagement, and wider professional service teams. You will be a dynamic, outward-facing leader with significant experience in enterprise, innovation and/or civic engagement, and a strong track record of delivering external impact through education, research and partnership. You will demonstrate excellent communication and influencing skills, credibility in representing the institution externally, and the ability to build trusted relationships across government, industry and the wider HE sector. Job Purpose The Professional Officers Division (POD) houses a centralized pool of academic staff under the Professional Officers scheme. Professional Officers come with specialised and deep technical skills acquired through extensive industry experience. They form the talent pool which brings a much-needed industry perspective to student learning. They facilitate applied learning and applied research in SIT, complementing the academic expertise of the faculty to bring industry practices and applications into the curriculum. Professional Officers leverage on their industry experiences to create authentic learning environments, where discovery and innovation take place. They act as coaches and mentors to students during practical learning activities such as laboratory sessions, Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). Professional Officers could also lead or work with faculty on industry innovation projects to provide solutions to the industry. In addition to their role in applied learning and applied research, Professional Officers manage the centralised laboratory facilities and resources in SIT. With Technical Officers, laboratory safety professionals, and administrators in POD, they jointly develop central policies and processes for the safe and seamless operation of laboratories in SIT. Key Responsibilities Design and teach labs & practice modules. Mentor students in Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). Lead or co-lead innovation projects with industry. Manage labs and equipment to support academic programmes and applied research. Ensure safety in labs Job Requirements A Master’s degree in Radiography or related field. Possessing a PhD will be an added advantage. Deep technical specialist with 10 or more years of working experience in the acute / community / other clinical rehabilitation setting. Possess clinical experience and competence in Radiography. Having expertise in general radiography or other area of specialization (e.g., MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Angiography and Fluoroscopy) is preferred. Knowledge and experience in working with simulated healthcare institution and community environment and educational manikins will be advantageous. Extensive experience and knowledge of industry practices to bring industry perspective to SIT.  Keen interest in innovation projects, with demonstrated ability in developing solutions to technical problems. Strong supervisory skills and enjoy working closely with students in an educational environment. Demonstrate proficiency to keep abreast of development in the field and pursue professional certification programs. Possess industrial certifications in relevant areas will be an added advantage.
