Information about Swinburne University of Technology for Prospective Students

institution

At Swinburne University of Technology, we welcome students from all over the world to study with us in Melbourne—Australia’s top-ranked student city since 2022 (QS Best Student Cities 2025). Our main campus in Hawthorn offers the perfect mix of state-of-the-art facilities and diverse learning environments to support our students in their studies, with our undergraduate courses taught by some of the most highly regarded academics.

Through Swinburne’s Work Integrated Learning program, students get the opportunity to gain real industry experience in the form of placements, internships or industry-linked projects—guaranteed in all bachelor degrees. The award-winning program gives students a taste of the Australian work culture and the experience in a professional workplace all before they graduate.

At Swinburne, we understand that living and studying in a different country can be challenging. That’s why Swinburne has a dedicated team of International Student Advisers available to help students with any issues they may experience, from the moment they arrive and throughout their entire journey at Swinburne.

Our course fees range from approximately A$33,000 to A$45,500 per year for a 3- or 4-year bachelor degree and from approximately A$40,000 to A$54,000 per year for a 2-year master degree by coursework. To help ease any financial constraints, Swinburne offers scholarships to international students to save on tuition. These scholarships are merit based and students are automatically considered for an international scholarship when they apply to Swinburne based on the grades of their previous study. We also have a range of general scholarships that international students can apply for.

Take the next step towards your career with Swinburne. Find a course that fulfills your passion or take a look at our virtual campus tour to see what your life could look like as a Swinburne student.
