Established in 1982, with its first master's programmes created in 1986, TIAS School for Business and Society is affiliated with Tilburg University and Eindhoven University of Technology and operates predominantly in Tilburg and Utrecht.
From 1996, TIAS focused on post-experience management education only, adding contract research, company specific programmes and executive education courses. In 2001, TIAS became a private company, shortly expanding its activities into Eindhoven and Utrecht.
TIAS offers: executive MBA, part-time; executive MBA in food and agribusiness; full-time MBA; global executive MBA.
TIAS also offers a range of master's degrees, many of which are part-time: part-time master of science in business administration (MScBA); executive master in finance (MIF); executive master of information management (MIM); executive master of business valuation (MBV); executive master of finance and control/register controller (EMFC); executive master of health administration (MHA); executive master of IT-Auditing (EMITA); executive master of management and organisation (MMO); executive master of management in education (MME); executive master of marketing (MM); executive master of operations and supply chain management (MOS); executive master of public and non-profit management (MPM); executive master of real estate (MRE) and full-time master of science in business administration (MScBA).
There are also a series of masterclasses, short courses and in company training ventures.
With its motto of "never stop asking", TIAS organises various LABs, open platforms where professors and students can work with private and public organisations. These LABs cover: finance; governance; health; human resource management; IT and operations marketing; public management; real estate; strategy, innovation and leadership and responsible investment.
TIAS enjoys high rankings from both students and from league tables compiled by noted business publications. The Financial Times has rated TIAS as 29th best European business school, and its full-time master of science in business administration (MScBA) is number 50 in the world and the Executive MBA as number 2. Meanwhile, The Economist has ranked a number of TIAS part-time MBAs as among the best in the Netherlands, ranking within the top 20 within Europe and the Top 70 in the world. It also put TIAS’ full-time MSc in business administration as best in the Netherland and 24th worldwide.
