Trinity Western University (TWU) was founded in 1962 as Trinity Junior College by a committee of members from the Evangelical Free Churches of Canada and America.

It has grown into the largest independent Christian liberal arts institution in Canada, with an enrollment of 5,000 students across all programmes.

TWU offers 48 undergraduate degrees and 19 graduate degrees, including programmes in business administration, nursing, counselling psychology, education, computer science and theology, among others.

TWU Access is the university’s multi-access model which brings online and face-to-face campus programmes together under one portal, to deliver teaching and learning to all students - regardless of their location.

The main campus - Langley - spans 157 acres and is close to downtown Vancouver, while the Richmond campus hosts programmes tailored to the international students in Richmond and Metro Vancouver. TWU has a site in Ottawa too - The Laurentian Leadership Centre, which is a one semester live-in academic internship programme for upper level undergraduate students of all majors.

There is on-campus housing available for 1,100 students including dormitories, community living and apartments.

It also has three institutes: the Centre for Equity and Global Engagement, the Dead Sea Scrolls Institute, and the Institute of Indigenous Issues and Perspectives.

The average class size is 25 students. The student body is roughly 75 per cent Canadian, 12 per cent American and 13 per cent international.

Full-time, fixed term February 2027 until 2028 Be a part of an Internationally renowned Sydney Laryngology Fellowship Base Salary starting from $79,784 + 17% superannuation About the opportunity The University is seeking an Academic Research Fellow to participate in The Sydney Laryngology Fellowship. The fellowship is led by Associate Professor Daniel Novakovic, who is the surgical director of the Dr Liang Voice Program at University of Sydney. A/Prof Novakovic holds an FRACS in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery and has International subspecialty training in Laryngology. The Sydney International Laryngology Fellowship is a one-year program designed to prepare existing ENT surgeons for a future subspecialty career in the fields of Laryngology and laryngeal surgery. The program involves attachments with several laryngologists across a variety of clinical locations. Clinical activities cover the breadth of laryngology with a focus on voice, swallowing and airway disorders as well as care of the professional voice. The fellow will be integral to the University of Sydney Voice Assessment Clinic. The fellow will also be involved in and assist with other regular multidisciplinary clinics including a dedicated oncology voice and swallow rehabilitation clinic and a chronic refractory cough clinic. The fellowship aims to provide comprehensive post-graduate training to prepare participants for a career in clinical and academic laryngology. The participant will gain exposure to a high volume and wide breadth of clinical and operative cases focusing on laryngology, laryngeal surgery, and care of the professional voice. The fellowship also promotes clinical and basic science research in the fields of laryngology, laryngeal surgery and care of the professional voice. This training program is uniquely tailored to the needs of the trainee. Education will take place in the form of directly supervised on the job clinical training as well as regular educational activities. The program will foster development of detailed clinical assessment skills including advanced laryngeal stroboscopy. There is a strong focus on office-based interventions including injection laryngoplasty, laryngeal EMG, laryngeal botulinum toxin injections and office based angiolytic laser treatments. The fellow will actively participate in operative cases in a graduated fashion based upon their demonstrated level of surgical proficiency Eligibility The Fellowship is available to qualified trainees in the specialty of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, locally and internationally. Candidates should have completed specialist training in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery and demonstrate a willingness to establish or join a specialty laryngology service upon completion of training. Candidates must be eligible for medical registration in Australia including demonstrated proficiency in the English language at an IELTS or equivalent level. The Faculty of Biological and Environmental Sciences, University of Helsinki, invites applications for the position of UNIVERSITY TEACHER IN MOLECULAR AND INTEGRATIVE BIOSCIENCES (ESPECIALLY NEUROBIOLOGY) This fixed position from 1.8.2026 (or as agreed) – 31.5.2030 is based in the Department of Molecular and Integrative Biosciences, which is one of the three Departments in the Faculty and located on the Viikki Campus. Tasks Teaching and teaching-related tasks account for the majority (70-90%)of the annual working time. The primary focus will be on contributing to the curriculum of the Master’s Programme in Neuroscience — an international, multilingual programme that attracts both national and international students. In addition, the selected candidate will be involved in bachelor level teaching and teaching-related tasks. Teaching responsibilities will include fundamental topics in neurobiology from molecular and cellular to systems level, as well as quantitative analysis methods and examples of modern approaches in fundamental research. The university teacher selected for the position will be the responsible teacher on selected courses, teach on courses coordinated by other teachers and to assist professors and university lecturers with course preparation and management. Key duties also include student guidance, bachelor’s and master’s thesis supervision and evaluation as well as participation in collaboration with the faculty’s degree programmes. The candidate is encouraged to integrate into Department’s research activities. We expect the candidate to be able to work collaboratively, contributing to joint teaching initiatives and to foster a learning environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and problem solving. Selection criteria According to the University of Helsinki's administrative regulations, applicants must have a relevant higher education degree and teaching experience. When assessing applicants’ qualifications, emphasis will be placed on proficiency and teaching experience in molecular and integrative biosciences, in particular that of relevance for the curriculum of the Master’s Programme in Neuroscience, demonstrated pedagogical competence, supervision of bachelor and master’s theses, and ability to advance the use of interactive and student-centered education methods. Expertise in blended learning approaches that incorporate modern digital tools are regarded as an asset. The successful candidate should have good knowledge of cutting-edge approaches for investigating neurobiological systems at different levels of organization and to be committed to excellence in research-based undergraduate education. Additional merits include a doctoral degree and other research experience, particularly in the field of neurobiology.  Teaching skills The overall teaching skills of a university teacher must be at least at a good level. Applicants' teaching skills will be assessed in relation to the curriculum of the Master’s Programme in Neuroscience in the field of neurobiology. Applicants' teaching skills will be assessed using the faculty's assessment matrix and a teaching demonstration. Language skills The university requires that those holding teaching and research positions must be proficient in the language of instruction, which in this case is English. There is no requirement to be proficient in Finnish for foreign citizens, non-native Finnish citizens or citizens who have not been educated in Finnish or Swedish.
