Turan International University is part of Uzbekistan’s growing private academic sector.
It is based in a city centre site in Namagan. It was licensed in 2022 to offer bachelors and master's courses on a full-time, part-time and evening basis in Uzbek, Russian and English.
It offers 23 undergraduate options across faculties of business administration and humanities and pedagogy. The business courses include tourism economics, and logistics while the humanities options include education degrees focussed on the Korean, Japanese, Uzbek and English languages. Business administration provides most of the nine master's options, while there are eight evening courses and 32 extra-mural programmes.
International partners include Turan University in Kazakhstan, Vellare Institute of Technology, India and Troy University and the University of Colorado, Boulder in the United States and Lobachevsky and Belgorod State Universities in Russia. In May 2024 it was one of four Uzbek universities to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Universiti Malaya Sarawak.
