Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta is based in Central Java, Indonesia. It was launched as part of the Atma Jaya Catholic University of Jakarta in 1965 and became an independent, private institution in 1973.
Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta operates from four campuses – the House of Saint Alphonsius, Thomas Aquinas and numbers 3 and 4.
There are undergraduate courses in faculties of accounting, architecture, biology, civil engineering, communications, development economics, industrial engineering, informatics, information systems, law, management, social sciences and food technology.
It also runs international programmes in civil engineering, industrial engineering, law, business management and financial accounting.
