Université Sultan Moulay Slimane

The Université Sultan Moulay Slimane is a collection of establishments in the Beni Mellal, Khenifra region of Morocco. It is a relatively young university, founded in 2007, and now has 15 institutions and over 40,000 students. The university is present in all the provinces in the Beni Mellal – Khenifra region, with its five campuses in Beni Mellal, Khouribga, Fkih Ben Salah, Azilal and Khenifra.

There are 15 institutes at the university: letters and human sciences, science and technology, economics and management, applied sciences, commerce and management, applied sciences, education and training, technology among others.

An English excellence programme is offered to students on three different levels to suit students’ abilities. It is taught by experienced American teachers The levels range from traditional to accelerated, and then intensive for those who are more experienced in the English language.

The university is creating a university centre to offer a language resource centre, digital production centre, a place for sports and culture, as well as educational innovation. There is an entrepreneurial culture across the university, centered around the interface unit which brings together companies, the public sector, local authorities and civil society. This culture is promoted through business creation initiatives, research work on patents and technology licenses, support in commercial and financial aspects, as well as networking with strategic partners.

The university teaches mostly in French. In Morocco, although it’s not the official language, French is widely spoken and used in business.
