Basic information and contact details for Banking University
Banking University was established in 2006 in response to the growing need for a centralised educational institution specialising in the Ukrainian credit system and finance.
The university offers students qualitative economic education to prepare them for a job at the National Bank of Ukraine and other commercial banks. Graduates from the university have gone on to pursue careers as economists, bankers, financiers, public administrators and entrepreneurs.
The university was formed as a result of the merger of four banking institutes that date back to the 1940s: Lviv Institute of Banking, Kharkiv Institute of Banking, Cherkasy Institute of Banking, and the Institute of Master Preparation and Postgraduate Education.
The university is located in Lviv, the largest city in western Ukraine.
There is a range of bachelor, masters and PhD level degree programmes on offer to students at the university. These programmes are in the fields of accounting, economics, finance and banking, IT, and taxation.
To enrich their studies and develop a global perspective, students are given the opportunity to study abroad as part of the university’s academic exchange programmes. To facilitate these programmes, the university has developed partnerships with more than 50 higher education institutions in over 20 countries around the world.
