The University of Bechar is a public institution of higher education located in the city of Bechar, in southwestern Algeria. The university was established in 1986.
The university offers wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs in diverse disciplines through its different faculties like the faculty of science and technology, faculty of letters and languages, faculty of law and political science, and faculty of economic sciences, commerce, and management.

Some of these include the University of Lancaster, United Kingdom, the University of Ancona, Italy, the University of Perpignan, France, and the Ibnou Zohr University, Morocco.
