The University of Buenos Aires is located in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was established in 1821.
It is organised into 13 faculties including economic sciences, law, engineering, psychology, philosophy and letters and medical sciences among others. The faculties offer undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
The university also administers six hospitals, 16 museums, 13 scientific institutes and five high schools.
It has produced four out of five of Argentina's Nobel Prize laureates.
International students do not have to take an admission exam to study at the University of Buenos Aires.
