The University College for the Creative Arts is a specialised public university for arts and design located in the United Kingdom.
It was initially established in 2004 and attained university status in 2008.
It offers undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate courses in a wide range of subjects ranging from fine art, animation, business, music and photography. It offers these courses through its seven academic schools namely: the Canterbury School of Architecture; crafts and design; fashion; film, media and performing arts; fine art, photography and visual communication, further education and the Business School for the Creative Industries.
The university has a number of centres such as the Animation Research Centre, Centre for Digital Scholarship, Crafts Study Centre and several other research clusters to further its academic research.
The university also has a wide range of academic collaborations with institutions across the world such as the London School of Marketing and Design and the MIT School of Design among others.
Students and staff have the opportunity to study and work abroad. It has partnerships with leading industry experts and corporations too.
The University College of Creative Arts is the second largest provider of creative arts education in the UK and has four campuses in Canterbury, Epsom, Farnham, and Rochester.
The university organises several events every year through its student union and has a wide range of facilities such as animation suites, virtual reality labs and 3D printing facilities.
