About the area

The Australian Centre for RNA Therapeutics in Cancer (ACRTC) is an RNA production and innovation node in Western Australia dedicated to developing cancer treatments. We aim to integrate RNA technology with cancer research strengths in Australia to translate discoveries into the clinic. The ACRTC is funded by the Cancer Research Trust (CRT) in collaboration with UWA, Therapeutics Innovation Australia (TIA), the WA Government, Cancer Council of WA, Harry Perkins Institute, Telethon Kids Institute and Curtin University.

About the opportunity 


	Oversee project by liaising with research teams and production staff, proactively identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring adherence to project plans and timelines for effective goal achievement.
	Communicate project status, risks, and resources effectively to leadership and stakeholders; provide regular forecasts and manage change requests to facilitate informed decision-making.
	Design and implement best practices for project management, and support budget planning, reporting, and other duties to enhance operational efficiency.


About you 


	Relevant tertiary qualification in business administration, project management, biomedical sciences, or related field, or demonstrated equivalent competency.
	Substantial relevant experience at an appropriate level, including experience in the design and implementation of tools, processes and best practices for management of project or business change and demonstrated project management experience in a biomedical research environment.
	Substantial experience in stakeholder management and engagement, with the ability to work collaboratively at all levels and as a member of multiple teams.
	Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
	Highly developed negotiation and influencing skills.

About the opportunity

The Child Population and Translational Research team are seeking a Research Fellow - Biostatistician to lead data analysis on a perinatal research funded program related to investigating the impact of pregnancy exposures, including maternal conditions and medicine use on birth outcomes. This position will be based at the University of Sydney Camperdown campus.

Your responsibilities will be to:


	conduct advanced statistical analysis using linked administrative health, medicines, education and clinical data
	involved in data preparation and management of linked datasets
	contribute to the development of statistical analysis plans, preparation of results, visualisation and reporting of research to various audiences
	collaborate and liaise with a multidisciplinary team of academics, clinicians, consumers, policy makers and other stakeholders
	contribute to developing new grant and funding applications, and more broadly to other research projects within the team.


About you


	hold PHD qualifications in epidemiology, statistics, biostatistics, public health with a strong component in epidemiology/biostatistics, pharmacoepidemiology, or a related degree
	demonstrated experience in data preparation, data management, and analysis of large, population-based linked administrative health and clinical datasets
	advanced biostatistical analytical skills, e.g multilevel models, causal inference methods, machine learning
	experience in preparing and reporting results for peer reviewed publications, reports, and presentations, including to lay audiences
	excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication and presentation skills to a wide range of audiences
	proven ability to work independently, initiate, organise and manage projects; and as part of a multidisciplinary team
	demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work with competing priorities and sometimes limited supervision.
	experience or interest in perinatal and/or child health research.

About the Role

The Lecturer in Clinical Skills and Simulation will deliver high-quality clinical education, with a focus on teaching clinical skills and knowledge through clinical simulation and interprofessional curriculum development within the South Australian Rural Medical (SARM) Program. This role will contribute to the advancement of teaching excellence by developing and implementing innovative teaching practices and technologies.

The incumbent will be responsible for making an independent contribution to both teaching and the scholarship of teaching, ensuring the integration of best practices in educational delivery. Additionally, the Lecturer will foster strong relationships with rural and Indigenous communities, allied health professionals, and other relevant practice staff to support student recruitment and sustain effective rural clinical education programs.

While stationed predominantly at our Nuriootpa campus, at times, this position will also work collaboratively with academics, clinicians and professional staff across our rural campuses.

About You

To be successful in this role you will exhibit:


	Doctorate in a relevant field or equivalent clinical experience and standing in Health
	Relevant and contemporary clinical experience in a relevant field
	Proven excellence in teaching performance at a tertiary level, inclusive of simulation and/or clinical setting
	Evidence of an independent contribution to the development, delivery and evaluation of innovative teaching and learning strategies both in the classroom and in clinical education, including student assessment
	Understanding of curriculum reviews and internal and external accreditation activities
	Demonstrated understanding of the nexus between teaching and learning, research and scholarship.
