Established in 1993, the University of Jaén is a public institution based in Andalucia, Spain. Its history goes back to the 14th century.

The University of Jaén offers over 40 degrees in Humanities and Education, Experimental Sciences, Health Sciences, Social Sciences, Law, and Engineering. They are taught in both English and Spanish. Over 60 exchange programmes are available for students who want to experience another university or culture. The institution also has links with the industry, offering internships in more than 500 companies.

The university has a library with over 480,000 digital publications. Its main campus is based in Jaen. Its two other satellite campuses are located in the smaller cities of Linares and Ubeda - a Renaissance jewel.

Jaen, situated in south-central Spain, is a city of just under 120,000. Its history goes back to the Moorish period, which left the city the largest Arab baths in Spain. Its impressive architecture also includes the 13th century Saint Catherine’s Castle, 16th century Jaen Cathedral, the Museum of Arts and Popular Customs. In October, Jaen hosts its biggest festivity which involves dancing and traditional gastronomy. The Lagarto Rock Festival, Ciclos de Rock and the International Piano Competition Premio Jaen further animate the city.

You will act as the first point of contact for all students, academic staff and key external contacts, providing a professional, supportive, responsive and personable service. The role supports processes within our main workstreams of Assessment and Award, Programme Planning and Delivery and Student Communications and Knowledge. You will ensure accurate and timely record management across multiple systems across the whole academic cycle. Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Space LiDAR

Full-time, fixed term role for 2.5 years Based at Macquarie University, Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde We are seeking an industry-facing researcher to make an impact in space LiDAR, in conjunction with our commercial partner Spiral Blue. This project is a collaboration between the MQ Photonics Research Centre and commercial partner Spiral Blue, funded by the CRC-P grant "In orbit demonstration of an AI-enabled LiDAR multisensor system". The project will develop, test, and launch space-to-space and space-to-Earth LiDAR systems, with the end goal to deploy a space-to-Earth LiDAR system for monitoring of tree canopies. This postdoctoral position will be heavily industry focussed, working closely with the Spiral Blue staff, along with another Macquarie University postdoc and the academic team of Prof. David Spence and A. Prof. James Downes. The position will suit a candidate who is looking for experience of industry engagement, and will have a focus on generating impact with our industry partner, and creating new intellectual property and innovations in the emerging field of space LiDAR. About us The Faculty of Natural, Mathematical & Engineering Sciences (NMES) is a vibrant faculty based in the heart of London with a long tradition of world-leading research and teaching in physics, mathematics, chemistry, informatics and engineering.  This role presents an exciting opportunity to run and develop the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) service in the Chemistry department providing expert guidance and advice to end users from method development to data collection and interpretation. Reporting to the Senior Technical Manager (Operations) at the Guys Campus. About the role The role-holder will have extensive technical expertise in NMR and comprehensive knowledge of small molecule solution NMR. They will support research activities across several different user groups, such as PhD students, researchers, external and industrial users, to deliver an exceptional service. They will manage the service, troubleshoot to minimise downtime and will be responsible for the compliance with Health & Safety and other relevant regulations governing the service. The successful candidate will be an active member of King’s Technical Network, engaging in Faculty and College initiatives to strengthen and share best practice, with an ongoing commitment to professional development.
