Basic information and contact details for the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh
Established in 2002, the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh is an arts-based private higher-education institution located in the capital of Bangladesh, Dhaka.
The university’s campus is in Mohammad complete with sports facilities, a library, auditorium, student centre, housing, interactive court and other amenities. They also offer study abroad and exchange programmes to further develop students' learning.
The university offers both bachelor and master degrees in several areas of study, including: social science, arts and humanities, science and engineering and business among others.
More recently, the university has established itself as a research-intensive university in Bangladesh, with multiple research opportunities for its faculty members and students each year.
Merit-based scholarships range from 10 per cent to 100 per cent, with special scholarships available for women going into science and engineering fields.
With a focus on sports, it has the only tournament-standard ground of any private university in Bangladesh. Since 2006, the university has hosted the Fair Play Cup – a T-20 cricket tournament, where students play against other private universities.
From debating to film to sports, there’s a whole host of activities for students to take part in weekly to enhance their skills outside of the classroom. Activities include educational field trips, workshops, concerts, intra- and inter-university competitions and tournaments. In addition, the university is an active member of the Duke of Edinburgh Award, which is given for completing a programme of activities by anyone between ages 14 to 24.
