Spell it out

五月 22, 2008

We all use acronyms to show we are in the in-group. But in the name of sanity, how could you write an entire article about QR without once explaining what QR stands for ("Funding council speaks up for QR", 15 May)? You say what it is, but what does it stand for and why? Or does no one want to remember?

Sorry, but I'm a linguist, and I won't use expressions I don't understand.
