Senior figures from Russia's former nuclear communities and institutes, including scientists and public servants, have arrived to study a course in business English at De Montfort University. They are on the UK Government's Closed Nuclear Cities Partnership, which aims to help Russia and other countries in the former Soviet Union create new jobs for former nuclear weapons engineers and scientists and to revitalise the formerly closed communities. De Montfort's Centre for English Language Learning will run a month-long course for 15 people.
