Turkey's military call for legal restrictions to halt studying in Islamic countries

Turkey's military this week called for legal restrictions to halt Turkish students studying in Islamic countries.

The demand follows YOK's decision late last year to stop recognising degrees awarded by universities in several Islamic countries. Its withdrawal of recognition of degrees from Cairo's Al-Azhar University led to a diplomatic row between Turkey and Egypt.
