The Times Higher Education China Subject Ratings are the only performance tables that judge Chinese institutions against their global peers based on the Chinese Ministry of Education’s classification of subjects.
The ratings for arts reveal performance across two subjects: art theory and design.
In total, 499 universities worldwide receive a rating for at least one subject in the arts pillar.
Forty-two universities achieve an A+ grade in both arts subjects, while Zhejiang University and Tsinghua University are the top-performing institutions in mainland China.
If you would like to discuss the results of the ratings, contact Sophia Li, THE’s regional director of Greater China, at Sophia.Li@timeshighereducation.com.
