The Times Higher Education China Subject Ratings are the only performance tables that judge Chinese institutions against their global peers based on the Chinese Ministry of Education’s classification of subjects.
The ratings for economics reveal performance in two subjects: applied economics and theoretical economics.
In total, 751 universities worldwide receive a rating for at least one subject in the economics pillar.
Fifty-five universities achieve an A+ grade in both economics subjects, including Fudan, Nanjing, Peking, Tsinghua and Zhejiang universities in mainland China.
If you would like to discuss the results of the ratings, contact Sophia Li, THE’s regional director of Greater China, at Sophia.Li@timeshighereducation.com.
