Located on the outskirts of Venice in Italy, H-FARM College ensures that its graduates are ready for a fast-paced, globalised world. The institution offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in business management, digital transformation, innovation and technology, with a strong focus on industry demands.
“A diverse and vibrant student community pushes educational boundaries and inspires innovation,” says Antonello Barbaro, CEO of H-FARM Education. The college’s student and staff body currently represents over 30 nationalities. The community reflects a global tapestry of ideas, cultures and perspectives. Students learn to approach problems from multiple perspectives and develop cultural competence, which are key skills in today’s interconnected world.
To attract the best students worldwide, H-FARM College’s Global Talent Grant disburses €1 million (£845,000) in scholarships to students enrolled on its bachelor’s and master’s programmes. These merit-based scholarships can cover up to 95 per cent of a scholar’s tuition fees.
The institution also supports international students in adapting to their new campus and city. “We pride ourselves on creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all students,” Barbaro says. “Our orientation programmes, peer mentorship initiatives and language support help ease the transition into life abroad.”
Barbaro believes that education should go beyond traditional learning. H-FARM College’s three-dimensional approach to education integrates learning inside and outside the classroom and on the job. For example, a student studying AI and data science with a focus on global commerce and trade can learn the core theoretical concepts in the classroom and participate in events, such as the World AI Cannes Festival in France, to build their network and gain deeper insights into the field. They also have the opportunity to put their skills to use through internships with employers such as H-FARM College’s student-led consulting agency, Lumina. The campus also houses H-FARM’s Entrepreneurship and Startup Center.
“This holistic model not only prepares students to excel academically but also equips them with the tools, experience and confidence to thrive in today’s dynamic workforce and contribute meaningfully to society,” Barbaro says. H-FARM College collaborates with industry leaders and academic partners to ensure that its programmes incorporate emerging market trends and technologies, such as AI, blockchain and sustainable innovation.
A key element of H-FARM College’s strategy is four Competence Centers that act as dynamic hubs for industry engagement and collaboration. “We have engaged with more than 20 C-level executives across industries at our centres,” Barbaro explains. The centres, alongside input from alumni, employers and advisory boards, offer insights that inform H-FARM College’s courses and curricula. “This ensures our students gain practical skills and stay aligned with the demands of a rapidly evolving global workforce, making them highly employable and future-ready,” he says.
While H-FARM College encourages academic excellence, it also recognises the importance of sports. It supports athletes through scholarships and flexible programmes tailored to their needs. Its student-athlete programme is open to national and international-level athletes from a range of sports, including rugby, sailing and swimming. The course ensures that competitive athletes do not have to put their education on hold while pursuing their sporting dreams.
