    Canada has a growing reputation as an attractive destination for higher education studies, offering students an enriching academic life with diverse and entertaining leisure activities.

    5. McGill University 

    McGill University is the oldest university in Montreal and one of just three English-language universities in Quebec.  

    Its business school, the Desautels Faculty of Management was founded in 1906. The faculty houses research centres and academic programmes at the undergraduate, masters, executive, and PhD levels.  

    Students at Desautels come from over 75 countries with over 30,000 alumni around the world.  

    Undergraduate students can study a bachelor of commerce or non-management students can choose from minors to incorporate business courses into their degree.  

    Students are also able to undertake an international exchange as part of their course.  

    Postgraduate students and professionals can choose from master’s course or doctoral programmes.   

    4. Western University 

    Western University's Ivey Business School offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in business and management. 

    In the undergraduate programme students will learn from core courses such as strategy, marketing, finance, leading people and organisations and many more. Students are also able to take part in international study trips and personalise their programmes as they progress through their degrees. 

    The school offers a full-time MBA, an accelerated MBA and and executive MBA for postgraduate students. Master's and postgraduate programmes are also available. 

    3. University of Montreal 

    With its affiliated schools, University of Montreal is one of the largest university complexes in North America. The 13 faculties and affiliated schools account for over 66,500 students and 2,400 professors and researchers. 

    HEC Montreal was established by the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal and was the first business and management school in Canada. 

    It offers bachelor and master’s degree programmes in business and management. The bachelor of business administration (BBA) programme is taught in three formats: French only, bilingual (French and English) and trilingual (French, English, and Spanish).  

    The school also provides short graduate courses in human resources, supply-chain management, user experience, business analytics and more.

    2. University of British Columbia 

    The University of British Columbia (UBC) offers about 500 bachelor and master’s degrees in subjects such as business and technology management, IT and applied technology, and liberal arts and sciences.  

    The university has launched more than 1,300 research projects alongside businesses and fostered the creation of close to 200 new companies. 

    The Sauder School of Business is where students can expect to study for a degree in business and commerce.  

    Undergraduate students can choose the BSc in commerce. Each student will study from the core curriculum, which includes modules in microeconomics, marketing, finance and accounting. Students can then specialise in areas such as entrepreneurship, real estate, finance and operations and logistics.  

    The programme encourages students to take part in extracurricular activities such as student clubs (including the Commerce Undergraduate Society),  internships and mentorships.  

    UBC alumni have won Nobel Prizes and more than 60 Rhodes scholarships and more than 200 have become fellows of the Royal Society of Canada. 

    1. University of Toronto 

    The University of Toronto is home to the Rotman School of Management, which offers MBAs, master's programmes and a PhD programme. There is also an undergraduate degree called Rotman Commerce. All students who graduate from Rotman Commerce do so with a specialist qualification in management, finance and economics, or accounting. 

    Rotman Commerce also offers students many ways to prepare for a career through employer information sessions, one-on-one career coaching, career workshops, career exploration, site visits and career treks and technical skills training.  

    Students can access a strong alumni network. The Alumni Mentorship Programme pairs more than 200 alumni mentors with students every year. Alumni are also available for career exploration discussions and for networking and advice opportunities.  

    The Rotman School of Management offers professional development courses for those looking to move into the next stage in their career.
